LENTIL SOUP
Since we had a whole chicken to use up yesterday, we made lentil soup. I didn't measure out the ingredients which was a shame because Willa thought it was 'too runny' so next time I will need more than the 1 mug of lentils that I used for the size of my pot.
Personally I really liked the taste - lentil soup on chicken is something that I associate with comfort as my mam used to make it if any of us had the cold- she said that the chicken broth from the bones would perk us up.
I just boiled up the chicken crang when all the meat had been taken off, and then added a mug of lentils to the broth, added an onion, four carrots, and a chicken stock cube.
Willa gave it a 9/10 but said it tasted good and she would give it a 10 if it was thicker!
Meanwhile, Nina had missed the Enchiladas because she had her 'denner' at Granny Linda's and also made a super cute craft while she was up there. When she got back she got her roast chicken with tatties, gravy and vegetables for her tea, but she ate it up so fast I only got a pic at the end of her meal :)
