THE HUMBLE OMELETTE!

Tonight we had omelette for tea.  I was very excited when mum told me that's what we were having. I had P.E at school today, and swimming right after school and was very hungry.  There are lots of different ways that you can cook an omelette, and different things you can put in it.  We have a 'peerie pan' so that we can make our own individual ones so that we can choose what to put in it and don't all have the same thing.  (Nina didn't even want an omelette so had waffles and side salad instead).

I chose mushrooms, onions, and peppers.  Mum fried those up on the pan until they got soft, and then asked me to add the eggs and skimmed milk that I had mixed up.  I added the egg mix and then mum added a pinch of Shetland sea salt, and some garlic pepper and a sprinkle of mixed herbs.  After I had added the eggs, mum stirred for a bit, and then I added a sprinkle of Orkney cheese on it.  Mum took the fish turner and folded it in half, and cooked one side and then flipped it over and for a final cook on the other side.  I ate it with some yummy side salad.

Willa's ratings:

Easy to get ingredients: Yes used up all Granny Linda and Da Wilbert's eggs so will need to go begging for more :)

Easy to make:  Yes, me and mum could do it together and it was ready really fast which is good when you are hungry after swimming.

Taste: 9 out of 10

Will I make it again:  Maybe, if my auntie doesn't interrupt my tea like she did tonight.

(Auntie June visited with one of her Yorkshire terriers so it was a bit chaotic and Willa was wanting peace and quiet after her busy day at school and Leisure Centre swimming :) Nina was very excited by the visit so little sister very happy but sister a bit 'tirn')  :)

After June and Nina set off to Isbister to feed ducks and ducklings, I had peace at home with a chocolate covered rice cake for pudding, that we got from JWJ (Alastair's shop). That made me feel more chilled and I relaxed and played on my kindle after a very busy day :)
